I am Richard Pichler, a web designer in Carinthia, Austria: 31 years of photography, 28 of video, 26 of web design. I work for freelancers and small businesses throughout the German-speaking countries.
Photo, film, web.
It began with photography, then came film and video, and later the web. Each of these crafts trains the eye in its own way: photography for light and framing, film for rhythm and storytelling, the web for structure and clarity. These three ways of seeing go into every site I design.
I have stayed true to the image. My other work shows where this eye comes from: photography at richardpichler.com, film at New World Spirits films and AI film at the Artificial Reality Agency.
Today I combine this experience with what AI makes possible. It widens what can be done in design, copy and code. What ends up on your site is my decision: judgement and responsibility stay with me. My websites do not need WordPress: they are built without site builders, with lean code and blocks made to measure. This site is one of them.
