Privacy policy
This policy explains which personal data arise when you visit webvision.company and what happens to them. In short: the site sets no cookies, uses no analytics services and loads nothing from third-party servers. Data only arise in the host’s server logs and when you send me an enquiry.

The host’s server logs
The site is hosted by HostProfis ISP Telekom GmbH, Hans-Sittenberger-Straße 13, 9500 Villach, Austria. Every time a page is requested, the host’s web server automatically writes a log entry. It contains:
- your IP address
- the date and time of the request
- the address requested
- the page you came from, if your browser sends it
- details of your browser and operating system
Purpose: The server needs your IP address to send you the page. The other details in the log serve the operation and security of the site, for example to find errors and fend off attacks.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is a site that runs reliably and securely.
Retention period: The host deletes the logs after 31 days at the latest.
The host processes these data only on my behalf and according to my instructions (processor under Art. 28 GDPR).
Contact form
When you submit the form, I process the following details:
- your name
- your email address
- the topic, if you choose one
- your message
I need your name, email address and message in order to reply to you. If any of them is missing, the enquiry is not sent.
Purpose and legal basis: I use these details only to answer your enquiry. If it concerns a possible commission, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract). For other enquiries it is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is then to answer enquiries.
Your enquiry is forwarded, not stored on the web server: The form runs on the host’s servers. There your enquiry is checked and sent as an email to my mailbox office@webvision.company. The rate limit file (see below) is also kept on these servers. As with the logs, the host acts only on my behalf. The form does not store your details themselves on the web server. Your email address appears in the email as the reply address, so that my reply reaches you directly. The mailbox is operated on my behalf by HostProfis ISP Telekom GmbH (Villach) as well. No data is transferred to countries outside the EU. Beyond that, I do not pass your details on to anyone unless the law obliges me to.
Retention period: I keep your email for as long as I need it for your enquiry and then delete it. If the enquiry leads to a commission, I keep the correspondence for as long as statutory retention obligations require, usually seven years (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR, § 132 of the Austrian Federal Fiscal Code (BAO), § 212 of the Austrian Commercial Code (UGB)).
Protection against misuse: So that the form is not flooded with automated advertising, it checks every enquiry itself, without third-party services and without cookies:
- A field that people cannot see must stay empty.
- Along with the form, your browser sends how long the page was open before you submitted it. An enquiry sent after less than three seconds very likely comes from a program. This value is not stored.
- The form accepts at most five enquiries per hour from one IP address (for IPv6, from one network, as a connection usually gets one). For this, the web server stores a check value (hash) of your IP address or of this network and the times of your enquiries in its folder for temporary files. The form does not store the IP address itself. The form deletes the entry with the first enquiry that arrives more than an hour after your last one, whoever sends it. If nobody uses the form for a while, the entry remains until then, so it may also stay longer than an hour.
Enquiries that fail one of these checks are not sent. The legal basis for the checks is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is a form that is not misused.
Project brief, email and phone
The project brief asks you three questions and prepares an email from your answers. This happens only in your browser: the site neither transmits nor stores anything in the process. Clicking “Send as email” opens your own email program with the prepared text, and you decide there whether to send it.
The links to the email address and phone number likewise only open your email program or your phone app. If you write to me or call me, I process your details as I would an enquiry sent through the form.
No cookies, no third-party services
This site sets no cookies and stores nothing else in your browser that could be used to recognise you. The host sets no cookies either. It uses no analytics, statistics or marketing services and embeds no third-party services, so no maps, no video platforms and no font services. Fonts, images and videos come from the site’s own server. The site is technically configured so that your browser loads content only from this server. The connection is encrypted (HTTPS).
Links to other websites, such as the projects, lead away from this site. The privacy policy of the other site applies there. Your browser only tells it that you are coming from webvision.company, not from which page.
I do not create profiles, and there is no automated decision-making within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- information on which data I process about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
- rectification of incorrect data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- object (Art. 21 GDPR, more on this in the next section)
To exercise these rights, write to office@webvision.company.
If you believe that the processing of your data infringes data protection law, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Austria this is the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde), Barichgasse 40 to 42, 1030 Vienna, www.dsb.gv.at.
Right to object
Where I process your data on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you can object to this at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21(1) GDPR). This concerns the server logs, enquiries unrelated to a commission and the protection of the form against misuse. I will then no longer process the data, unless there are compelling legitimate grounds for doing so that override your interests, or I need the data to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. A short message to office@webvision.company is enough.
